Our origins
Sileo, Latin for 'restart', was founded in 2020 by five students at Loughborough University.
With increasing strain placed on vital online support services amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, we sought to re-imagine digital inclusivity in a post-pandemic world whilst aiding the most vulnerable members of our community.
Nearly a year later, we have started our first round of investment pitching and are looking for new members to join the team!

Our courses
Our unique courses are designed in partnership with local shelters and national non-profit organisations to provide those experiencing homelessness with invaluable skills.
As well as building up skills for employability, we focus on increasing digital literacy and supporting self-improvement.
Where necessary, we are working to operate in line with the core principles of national organisations supporting the UKs homeless population, acknowledging and embracing the unique challenges faced by the community.

Looking forward
As we work tirelessly to develop our courses, we hope to pilot our programs across shelters in Leicestershire.
Following stakeholder feedback, our courses will become available on a subscription basis for shelters across the country.
In the meantime, we strive to widen our network of dedicated volunteers who give their time to ensure the successful operation of Sileo.
